EXPLORE CASAMANCE IN 3 DAYS
The southern part of neighbouring Senegal is also referred to as the CASAMANCE region. One of the greatest treasures of this region is its unique features and attractions.
Among them is The River Casamance, well known for its lagoons, many natural islands, lush mangrove forest, the untouched forest, covered with very unique old trees all of which serve as a natural habitat for many migratory birds.
The Casamance region also bursts off its long-held Jola animist cultural tradition, which until now has no influence by either Christianity or the Islamic faith of Senegambia.
Here is an opportunity to explore these and many more in this 3-day 2 2-night tour.
DAY 1
Start with an early drive from your coastal hotel to the Selity border crossing for the usual border procedures which include passport checks etc. We will then head to Ossouye the cultural capital through Ziquinchor which is the administrative capital of the region.
During this drive, the amazing scenes and sights will never keep you bored. With the flexible nature of the excursion, you will always be accorded a photo shooting stop at your request. It will be an afternoon arrival in Ossouye just a perfect time for lunch and check in at campment la CASSAMANCE.

Here we explore the rich Jola culture, with its impluvium housing heritage, their local fetish shrines, the local school, the rain reservoir and on top of it all interact with local people on the island to benefit from the shared knowledge of their culture and traditions.
The day will end with a visit to the royal forest for a courtesy call with the traditional king of the region. This visit will provide the opportunity to chat with the king for a better knowledge of this long-held tradition.
Dinner and overnight will be at the Campment la CASAMANCE.
